Peculiar Pizzazz Wigs was created with one purpose in mind: to empower women experiencing hair loss to reclaim what hair loss tried to steal—confidence, dignity, identity, and a sense of normalcy.
Hair loss is more than a physical change. It’s emotional. It’s personal. And for many women, it can feel isolating. At Peculiar Pizzazz, we understand that journey—because our work is rooted in compassion, experience, and intention.
Our Story
Peculiar Pizzazz Wigs was founded by Kila Russell, a certified wigmaker who has been creating wigs since 2016. What began as a skill grew into a calling—one shaped by real women, real stories, and real needs.
Inspired by women navigating hair loss due to medical conditions, genetics, stress, and life transitions—including those closest to her—Kila built Peculiar Pizzazz to be more than a wig brand. It is a ministry of restoration, offering not just wigs, but reassurance, education, and hope.
Certified through Wig Making 101 (September 30, 2020), Kila brings years of hands-on experience, precision craftsmanship, and heart into every piece she creates.

My name is Kila Russell, founder of Peculiar Pizzazz Wigs, a certified custom wigmaker and DME provider based in Tennessee. I am writing to express my interest in becoming a participating provider within your network to offer high-quality cranial prosthesis (medical wigs) to members experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment, alopecia, or other medical conditions.
I understand that some networks may currently be closed to new DME providers; however, I respectfully request consideration for a network gap exception, or to be added to a waitlist for future openings. Peculiar Pizzazz Wigs offers a compassionate, holistic, and culturally sensitive approach that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of hair loss. Our mission is to empower women with hair loss to regain what hair loss stole from them.
For open networks, I would appreciate the opportunity to complete your provider credentialing process and submit the required documentation. I am currently being credentialed with insurance companies in the fields of oncology, dermatology, and psychology. My business is fully insured under State National Insurance Company and operates under the following identifiers:
